On May 10, 2025, you’ll have the opportunity to join our exposition titled “Use FibreApp and you will feel as light as on the Moon!”

The purpose of the presentation is to expand knowledge about the nutritional value of the dietary fiber, pectin, and cellulose derived from agricultural raw materials and their importance for human health. The demonstration of the FibreApp mobile application, developed at the Instytut Agrofizyki PAN / Institute of Agrophysics, PAS, will allow participants to learn about the nutritional composition of various fruits and vegetables and gain a better understanding of their role in a balanced diet. Using the FibreApp application enables users to make informed consumer choices and develop a well-balanced diet rich in fiber. FibreApp utilizes real-time image analysis technology based on machine learning models and includes a database with results from chemical analyses of various fruits and vegetables. The FibreApp application will be available for download by scanning a QR code.

Workshops will take place as part of the 28th Scientific Picnic of Polskie Radio S.A. and the Copernicus Science Centre, which will be held on May 10, 2025, at the PGE Narodowy. The current festival, as well as our exposition, is supported by:
– Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland as part of the Science for Society II (Nauka dla Społeczeństwa II) program (grant number: NdS-II/SP/0258/2023/01).
– Copernicus Science Centre and the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Poland as part of the Science for You (“Nauka dla Ciebie”) program.
